Candidates push ahead as money dwindles

Like all of you. I know that health care is the most critical, and important issue facing the American people. Now, and in the coming elections. And like the vast majority of the American people, I want HR 676 (Medicare For All) passed into law NOW! "Single payer, Tax Supported, Not For Profit, True Universal Health Care" free for all as a right. Like every other developed country in the world has. See: http://www.house.gov/conyers/news_hr676.htm

“HR 676: For church goers: less money to insur. companies and more to the church- lots more. Srs on Medicare: save way over $100/wk. Because no more medigap, long term care & dental insur. needed. No more drug bills."

But if we the American people fail to bring enough pressure on our current politicians to get HR 676 passed into law before the elections.

Strawberries add flavor, moisture to pink cake

Dear Jeanne: I love this cake, but a cup of oil is a lot. Can you make it just as delicious with less oil? — Jo Ann, Dallas

Dear Jo Ann: This is a delicious and beautiful pink cake. I find that reducing the fat in cake mixes works very well, and the strawberries added to this one really add a lot of flavor, moistness and color.

If you wish to reduce the amount of icing, use only two layers of cake and put the icing only on the tops, not on the sides. This method adds plenty of icing, and looks very nice. Adding fresh berries on top of the cake or on the serving plate adds extra nutrition and beauty.

STRAWBERRY CAKE

1 box white cake mix 3 tablespoons flour 1 box strawberry gelatin 1/2 cup water 1 cup oil 4 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup frozen strawberries, thawed

Icing: 1/4 pound butter or margarine 1-pound box powdered sugar Strawberries, thawed

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Stimulate This: Why the Talk of Economic Stimulus Will Remain Talk

The American middle and working classes are maintaining their lifestyle on a foundation of quicksand (debt they cannot afford). If current indicators are correct it is quite possible that the entire US economy will sink into the debt that the middle and working class have developed over the last twenty years."

This is not a very ‘stimulating' environment. No wonder most Americans think the country is going in the wrong direction and have lost confidence in the economy. No wonder, crime is rising along with foreclosures. Let's not forget the wars that are also draining the economy, growing the deficit and pouring billions of dollars and so many lives into a rat hole without end.

So, please candidates, loose the cheery rhetoric of economic stimulus. Do nothing about the debt burden and you do nothing.
