NBC's Kevin Corke, meantime, is at Jillian's Restaurant, Columbia, South Carolina, the Edwards campaign in the senator's home birth state, is there. And that is where Kevin will be joining us throughout the evening. Kevin, good evening to you. KEVIN CORKE, NBC CORRESPONDENT: Keith, good evening to you. I think it is interesting to just take a look around Jillian's. I think there is a bit of excitement here because they just don't know. They don't know. Did he connect with the voters like he had hoped to? Would the fact that he is a native son really pay off today? But I also think there is an unease here, because the fact of the matter is, if not here, where? If not now, when? In the case of John Edwards, he has got to show some momentum. And this is a place where certainly he would have some advantages to do that, because some of our pre-election polling seemed to suggest that Edwards is a guy who seems to be taking advantage of or at least benefiting from the ongoing Obama-Clinton spat.

Putting a 'For Sale' sign on AECL
The Harper government has been working for months to get Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. in shape for a sale - possibly to foreign owners - and the recent firing of former nuclear regulator Linda Keen is viewed in the industry as a key part of that effort. Suitors have been circling AECL as Ottawa brought in advisers from the National Bank of Canada to review the ownership of the 55-year-old nuclear reactor company. While much of the attention has focused on competitors such as France's Areva SA and U.S.-based General Electric Co., SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. has emerged as a potential domestic bidder that would likely leave a majority or significant minority stake in Canadian government hands. AECL's supporters in the nuclear industry are lobbying hard for a renewed federal commitment to Candu technology.
Acciona dedicates solar power generator in southern Nevada desert
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The founder of Apple Computers, the first woman in space and a Hollywood actor and activist joined officials from a Spanish company dedicating a solar power generating station Friday in the Nevada desert. Acciona executives say the 400-acre Nevada Solar One project provides enough electricity to serve 14,000 homes, and demonstrates the viability of commercial-scale concentrating solar power production in the United States. "We launched this project in Nevada because of the existing solar resources and the capacity to provide a significant portion of the electricity consumed by a city like Las Vegas in the hours of peak demand," Acciona chairman and chief executive Jose Manuel Entrecanales said in a statement. Apple founder Steve Wozniak, former NASA astronaut Sally Ride and actor Ed Begley Jr.
Weakness in mission exposed, critics say
It saddens me to read all the doves wanting our 'soldiers' to leave the mission, turn tail and run home. The 'soldiers I have talked with ( 2) are eager and willing to get back to Afghanastan, to help Afghans protect themselves from these murderous insurgients. Stories of decapitations of children and women, are common. One of the soldiers has re-upped for a third tour. does this sound like demoralized troops ? Not to me. Maybe when the nancyboys commenting are attacked in our Country , they may see a need for 'soldiers'. Until then keeping the war over there seems like the right thing.
